Disappointing visit. After eating here last year we returned excited for a great meal but unfortunately that’s not what we got. We ordered starters of deep fried halloumi and garlic bread - the halloumi was over cooked and the sauce was a strange mix of bitter treacle that didn’t suit halloumi. The garlic bread was laughable, it cost around €4 for half a frozen baguette. It was undercooked in the middle but burnt on top! One of our party ordered a pizza which barely resembled a pizza, it was clearly fried underneath leaving i greasy but undercooked on top. We also had lamb chops which we asked to be cooked lightly and more or a ‘rare’ style but they came out tough as leather and not tasting great. We ordered fajitas which came out with toppings that seemed to have been left out for a few days and were dry, the wraps were home made (which we liked) but they were greasy and the sauce for the fajitas was bitter and tasted like old dirty cooking oil. The service left a fair bit to be desired, they didn’t seem keen to help and were slow to deliver. We asked for a beer twice before receiving it, and a menu three times as well as being served one less plate and cutlery for the people at our table. 1 star for location, but it is a shame that the quality of food and service doesn’t match the beautiful...
Read moreHad a really nice meal here the first time round. Visited again before we went home, and not so good. Had the fried halloumi to start, think it had been fried within an inch of its crispy life but came out stone cold. Prawn cocktail was warm 🤢 and had to actually 'fish' the teeny tiny things from the 3 inch layer of sauce. Staff were really grumpy. I get they work hard but jeez, fake a little smile at least. The milkshakes are nice though! And the place has gorgeous views. I'll give it another bash next year before I tick it off my...
Read moreThere's lovely pizza in this restaurant. I'm not a pizza lover, but Kervan's have a very nice dough - rather soft, but crunchy outside and with generous toppings. They come in a sensible one normal person's appetite size. The rest of their menu, a mix of "a la carte", Turkish, Italian and Mexican is all acceptable quality. Of course the best of all's the position of the restaurant on the cliffs with it's sun terrace, an enclosed terrace for bad weather and a small bar. The hygiene and service is excellent and the servers are very...
