For our last night staying at Aphrodite Hills I decided to take my teenage son and two teenage nieces for a meal. We arrived on time and were shown to our table. The restaurant was at 75% capacity and there were four members of staff tending to tables.
We sat there for 20 minutes and no one came to take a drinks order or food order. One worker gave a basket of bread to all tables around us, but not our table. So we left!
A simple visit to our table telling us you’re busy would’ve avoided us leaving, but a family of four of arrived after us got drinks and their food order taken in the time we were ignored. So I can only assume they prefer the older clientele to younger ones (although I’m in my 40’s so not really a spring chicken).
I should’ve read the reviews and may warn you of delays. This isn’t your typical Italian, relaxing delay, it appeared intentional.
I could see the kitchen staff including the pot washer, headphones in and standing there. So that’s how busy they were.
