Caffè Nero Aglantzia POED — Restaurant in Nicosia

Nero. I love this chain. I know coffee is a debatable topic with all the "this cafe isnt good" "that cafe isnt making the coffee correctly" but as I dont have any amount of expertise in coffee making - I find nero very nice.

Service is mostly amazing, I had a guy for the first time in a few years do a little sigh when I ordered a special and that stained it a little but the I understood - that coffee is very time consuming. So service is amazing.

Food has never been wrong here, although expensive, if you are hungry and got nowhere to go, it will cover your needs.

Now atmosphere. On one hand it's an open space, tables are pretty close to eachother. On the other, that makes it feel pretty nice. It doesnt feel bad at all.

The seats in Nero is comfortable chair and solo sofas, even big sofas. Table of choice: they have 3 as far as I remember. The very low one, the normal height so if you'd like to pull your laptop - it's comfortable, and lastly the very long table, again at a the medium height.

As I mentioned, you can bring your laptop to study, a lot of people do that. Some do group studies, some come solo. You even have a charging outlet if you are running out of battery.

To be honest, I’m saddened to be writing this review as only coffee shop we really enjoy visiting on the island is Caffè Nero! So we decided to try Aglantzia branch in Nicosia for the first time expecting to find the same standard and service. When you enter the decor, and vibe are just lovely, a grand piano with warm lighting set the right mood. However it ends right there. The place is very dirty, almost every table had leftovers. We ordered two lattes, our usual for many years, and this is what we were met with. I hate to break it to the baristas, but this is not a Latté in any way, shape, or form. The presentation was awful, and it spilled almost immediately. The standard is pretty low. If you’re looking for a cozy, warm setting then this is the place ..just expect to come and go still sitting in someone else’s filth with a less than decent coffee. Been here couple of times, never had a negative experience, on the contrary today had a very nice one thats why decided to leave a review. As you maybe know they have a rewarding card whereas you get stamps for every drink you purchase and after some stamps you get a free drink. Well today was that day. Walked in, ordered my drink and got it for free. Headed to a table outside, left the drink on the table and turned to leave my laptop bag to the empty seat next to me, accidentally i hit and spilled the drink. The employee, who was cleaning, ran towards me, took my empty glass, asked me what drink i had and brought me a new one..! I was like is ok, it was my fault I will order a new one but he insisted and brought me a new one on the house..! of course they also cleaned all the mess i caused. So good job guys, perhaps this is the company’s policy so hats off for looking after...
