Loca Cafe — Restaurant in Nicosia

Not what i was expecting. Although i only had a cold coffee which was too sweet for my liking ( my review not affected by this as personal tastes on coffee will vary greatly) others on our table ordered the mango smoothie which had no resemblance to the menu photo ( see below) or to a smoothie for that matter. It was mango syrup blended with what ended up to be frothy cold milk. It took ages for smoothies to arrive whereas the french toast and pancakes arrived well presented and tasted ok. Generally the experience was lukewarm bordering disappointing. That and the fact that the place was full of props for "instagrammable" pictures leads me to believe that the establishment focuses more on visuals and marketing than to restaurant...

Quality of service in this cafe gradually declining. They served tasty salads and I ordered them and other dishes from time to time via Wolt. But the last times something has changed. Salads turned sluggish, sauce missed. The final meal they served was a burger with red meat and "tasty looking" dessert - pics attached. They put five and a half (!!!) blueberries on top of it. And when I requested the justified refund they refused and answered that berries are seasonable and everything matches the order. Everything for 26.25eur. And apparently they abuse the fact that Wolt orders are prepaid and client can't reject their culinary masterpieces without their approval. That is why I will never buy their overpriced...

It had potential but unfortunately it's not it. We were a big group so we were rushed to order, it was busy. That's fair but the food took twice the time they told us and the dishes came one by one. By the time people got their food, others had finished eating. I ordered a sweet french toast which came last so it was cold and hard. The mascarpone cream tasted like cheap fruit yoghurt. 10€ for a single slice of french toast that i couldn't even cut to eat. My friends ordered the savory french toast which tasted weird and the bacon was too chewy. The decor was fun but the music was too loud (at least the boring lounge music stopped at some point) and the ac was at freezer temperature...
