This is a taverna style restaurant and pub with large screens for viewing sports programmes and a music system. The staff were welcoming and pleasant and quickly served drinks and brought the menus. There is a good comprehensive range of starters, finger food, sandwiches as well as burgers, fish and chips and cooked meats such as grilled pork and salmon all served with salad and chips. The dishes we chose were cooked to order and were tasty and excellent. These can all be ordered for takeaway service. There is a very well stocked bar with an extensive range of spirits, beer, wines and cocktails on offer as well as soft drinks and coffees and tea. Children are made very welcome. Staff was friendly, yet 1 on service for the slowness of the kitchen. We ordered one burger, one salmon and 4 cheese garlic bread. We waited more than 50 mins for the food. Great local village pub. Been using it for over 40 years now..
