Disappointing Experience

I recently visited this Sushi restaurant with a group of friends, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We had high expectations, but the service fell short in several areas.

Excessive Wait Time: We ordered food at 7:30 PM, but it didn't arrive until 9:30 PM - a staggering 2-hour wait. I didn’t even receive food and had to take what was left. We were told that the kitchen was busy, but the lack of communication and updates added to our frustration. Charged for Uneaten Food: To make matters worse, we were charged for dishes we never received. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they seemed unapologetic and unhelpful.

Though it says Japanese restaurant on the door I don't think it is an authentic Japanese. But it doesn't have to be. More of Asian fusion themed dishes. This is the only restaurant in Opava, where as pescaterians, we could have something else but fried cheese or grilled salmon. Shame they ran out of tuna, so for us it had to be salmon, prawns and veg. Very nice indeed. Generous portions, well presented, well made, tasty. Couldn't fault the food. Service was a bit slow, but in a busy restaurant to have only one waiter to take orders and deliver food and drinks, he was always going to struggle. More people on a floor would help. Kyo is a gem in our parts of Czech Republic. The food is phenomenal, the service is fantastic and the total experience is absolutely above and beyond. Personally, I had the pleasure to visit many Asian fusion or Japanese restaurants but I haven’t met one that feel so authentic in regards to food and materials; each dish we ordered was carefully crafted to perfection, and we ordered A LOT: for 1 week we visited the restaurant daily and every day was a new experience, filled with delicious sushi, fresh ingredients and absolutely lovely staff.
