Restaurace Jenerálka — Restaurant in Prague

This was originally a farmstead located in one of the places with the oldest settlements in the territory of Prague. It was earlier known as the settlement “Mammoth Hunters” on the road north out of Prague. It’s name comes from the word “general” because the lock was the seat of the Austrian general staff in the 18th century. Decor is neat and “angular” so does not give a warm, “pub vibe” but the menu, good beers and warm, friendly service made for an enjoyable evening. Easy parking outside and a bus stop conveniently...

I can’t believe I’m writing my review this late. I’ve been here over ten times and I would never rate it any worse than 5 out of 5. It’s worth every second of commuting there (it takes about 30 minutes from the city centre) and it’s definitely my favourite place in the entire city! Huge portions of amazing meals served fresh and for reasonable prices. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. The surroundings are really lovely and the transport is regular, so if you have an extra hour to spend, come here....

Have been going to this restaurant, which is definitely not local, for several years. Dog-friendly and family- friendly, the staff make you feel that they appreciate your presence. The food is also excellent. If you are up for it, the pork ribs are great. Also the pasta dishes are a treat. If ?ou are lucky, you can start the meal with a goulash soup. But the menu has something for all tastes, including great strawberry...
