This was originally a farmstead located in one of the places with the oldest settlements in the territory of Prague. It was earlier known as the settlement “Mammoth Hunters” on the road north out of Prague. It’s name comes from the word “general” because the lock was the seat of the Austrian general staff in the 18th century. Read moreI can’t believe I’m writing my review this late. I’ve been here over ten times and I would never rate it any worse than 5 out of 5. It’s worth every second of commuting there (it takes about 30 minutes from the city centre) and it’s definitely my favourite place in the entire city! Huge portions of amazing meals served fresh and for reasonable prices. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. The surroundings are really lovely and the transport is regular, so if you have an extra hour to spend, come here....
