This Mexican restaurant does NOT serve authentic Mexican food. They do serve, however, Mex-inspired dishes.
The Good: Their bacon hamburger was vegetarian. I don't primarily eat vegetarian food But based on the quality of their margaritas I'm glad it wasn't beef because beef is easy to overcook. The food (Habareros Frescos, Nachos Con Guacamole, Quesadilla De Pollo, and Burger De Carne) was not Mexican style BUT was not terrible.
The Bad: Parking was difficult nearby so I ended up parking three blocks away. Their food and drink portions are tiny. The medium margarita cup was full of ice to the top and was filled less than 3/4. The tequila they use is not El Jimador because it burned like pure isopropyl. The prices are tricky. One cola Kofola On Tap (advertised as 8 czk) was actually 32 czk. Their reasoning was because the price is for one shot of Kofola. Again, we're talking about nonalcoholic cola!
The End: I've never been to other Mexican restaurants in Prague so I cannot compare. All I know is that if you want Mexican food, you're better off going...
Read moreWe went with my buddy for lunch on Saturday to this place. I was looking out for Mexican food, like a voracious craving for already a few weeks.
Found this place, a bit further from the center, but I said to myself it would be better to book a table.
Made reservation at 11 for 13. Upon arrival, we were greeted nicely by the waiter who offered to speak in English (my Czech is enough for a restaurant, but he made it simple).
We ordered quite fast: one meal each - enchilladas for my friend and Fajitas for myself - and appetizer Nachos con Chili queso.
Nachos were grand, the cheese marrying perfectly with it.
My fajitas were also copious and tasty. The waiter gave us the spicy sauces which my friend had a wonderful time trying out.
All in all we left the place with a sensation of satisfaction, bellies filled and palate conquered.
I recommend this place as it is really nice food and quantity for the price.
Regarding the atmosphere I would just add a little bit of music in the background (not too loud) but some mexican tunes always make a place feel...
Read moreI was in the Czech Republic for several weeks and ate here twice. First I want to discuss visiting. I came in once without a reservation and was seated quickly. The second time I made a reservation and staff were a bit rude about making the reservation. To be honest staff always felt a bit annoyed at us for visiting. We tried our best to speak Czech and be polite, but staff felt a bit cold.
The atmosphere was impacted by service, but I will say it gets lively in here. The restaurant is not particularly large so it can get loud in a good way. Food seems to be cooked as ordered, so we did wait easily over twenty minutes for dishes to come out. I didn't mind as you could tell dishes were fresh.
I have traveled all over Latin America so I have had the best of the best Latin food. Sabroso does a good job with their dishes. The ingredients always felt fresh. The tacos, burrito, soup, and nachos were all really good. I wouldn't call dishes super authentic, but I still think everything tasted pretty darn good.
Prices seemed pretty fair for...
