I went in with the intention of placing an order for take out! However, the waitress explained to me that the meals are all you can eat. one can order the soju individually or you have the option of purchasing all you can drink. once seated, I placed my order via an electronic menu. I started my meal off with soup, see picture. My entrees selected from the choices of marinated meats were chicken, beef and Lamb. My favorite was the beef. It was very tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly. For sides, I had the kimchi, marinated roots, spinach . There are a variety of sides to choose from, all unique and tasty in their own way. There is also a selection of sushi and fried items. The Manager is awesome, the waitresses are all very helpful an accommodating. The restaurant itself appears clean and well maintained. This was an all around excellent Korean dining experience! I highly recommend it, and I plan to return for a visit anytime Im visiting...
Read moreKOBA has potential for becoming a really great place. We dined there recently and there were a few logistic mishaps but it didn't overshadow the otherwise amazing food. We tried most of the starters and BBQ items but we ordered more but it never came. We were full and were just ordering more because the food was good, so it wasn't a big issue for us but it's worth knowing that patience may be needed. The food was delicious, all the BBQ had really nice flavours. We especially loved the beef bulgogi, pork, and white fish. The lamb was tasty too, just mind that the lamb smells a lot like lamb when prepared. Water was crazy expensive at 69kr for an 80cl bottle. The interior decor could be a bit better in terms of creating a certain atmosphere. It felt very bare. All the staff was really friendly and happy to help. I'd be happy to come back here in a few months when they've had a chance to learn and adjust to the demand of a...
Read moreI was here with my partner and parents in law. Really great Korean BBQ for Danish standards! We are so happy this place opened up in our neighborhood, and we really hope that they stick around. These are the types of places we really need.
The concept is that you pay one price and then it's all you can eat. This includes BBQ, but also standalone dishes like potato pancakes and dolsot bibimbap.
Couple of things:
I wish they would offer dishes like the bibimbap, Korean fried chicken and potato pancakes as seperate from the BBQ experience - in case you want to eat here without doing BBQ.
their suction over the tables could ba a bit stronger and the heat controls could be a bit more intuitive - one of the marinades on the meats we're sticking and burning on the plate, and it caused a fair bit of smoke.
Again - wonderful spot. Absolutely worth the money! Can't wait...
