Nice food and an impressive all you can eat buffet (at an amazing price), that sadly falls a bit short of a genuine Korean barbecue experience.

First of all, let me start by saying that if you've never had Korean food before, or that much Asian food in general, and you just want a place where you can try it at an affordable price, this place is an amazing fit for you.

For about 170 dkk (as of March 2019) you can get an all you can eat buffet, with different meats, side dishes, soups etc. (check the photo). In addition, they have classic and fruit Soju to help you get in a cheerful mood. You can also up-into all you can eat + drink version for 400 dkk.

However, what makes me give it only 3 starts is the lack of certain key elements that would make a it a true Korean barbecue experience. The rice wasn't the correct type for a Korean barbecue, as it shouldn't fall apart when you pick it up. There should be garlic and sauce (Korean sauce) at the table all the time, but that was nowhere to be found (or ordered). The lettuce has to be a of a bit better quality, because it is basically the "bread", meaning the wrapper, of the other ingredients.

In addition, some of the recipes were lacking, such as the glass noodles with vegetables (Japchae) which didn't have too much stuff (such as sesame, sauce etc.) and were pretty much just noodles, or the kimchi pancake, which was too hard (overcooked) rather than chewy. Also, you won't find on the buffet some traditional things, such as the dumplings (mandu).

Perhaps I'm being too harsh, but it's only because I visited with some friends who spoke Korean (which some of the waiters don't) who had taken me to a more authentic place somewhere else.

But again, if you just want an OK all you can eat Korean buffet (at an OK price), or want to try Korean food for the first time, go for it. You won't be...

We ordered AYCE BBQ, but after waiting hours, we gave up. On the Samsung tablet, there is a button to press for help if your order is taking longer than 10-15 min or so. I thought ”how odd”, but after our experience, we understood why. We had ordered before a family even sat down and their food came out first. We waited 20 min more and still no food arrived. We asked the waitress and she said she would go ask. This happened a total of four times with varying wait times.

All banchan ordered had no flavor and were quite bland. Japchae could have used a little more soy sauce. Jasmine rice was served and it was dry. Short grain should be used and soaked before steaming so it is slightly sticky. A rice container with a lid is optimal to keep the rice moist and warm because you are taking time to grill the meat. Only the gimbap was good and I can’t be certain because after waiting so long I was ravenous. They say hunger is the best sauce!

The setting of the restaurant was lovely and robo kitty was fun. An employee had terrible body odor that was offputting and my lettuce was placed next to raw meat on robo kitty which caused it to be inedible, so hygiene and food safety needs to be addressed. Overall, I cannot recommend this place yet, as it is greatly lacking. No one has hours to spend at a restaurant just waiting and another 1 1/2 hours to cook and eat. The potential is there, it just needs a...

I liked it a lot - we were the first in on Saturday lunchtime - it opens midday - and I was immediately impressed by how spacious it is, and how well the tables looked. I had been led to believe it's rather austere, but it is not at all - it's just spacious. It's very telling that the next customers in after us were young Asian couples, who looked at home and relaxed as though they were regulars. They obviously liked it too. I'm definitely going back. The food I thought was excellent- you cook the meat on a hot plate at your table, hence I suppose the Korean BBQ description. Menu is interesting and I definitely recommend the kimchi pancakes, which were much better than I expected. Only the 2nd time I've had Bibimbap and this was easily as good as the other one I had at an other Korean restaurant in Copenhagen- so this is definitely worth the trip out into the 'burbs, if you hanker for some Korean eats. Very nice, cheap and with good, friendly service, too.
