The food is good, however the atmosphere and "rules" are not as good. You get a menu where you have to mark what you need, raw food, to fry on a frying pan built in the table you are sitting at. There is also a buffet, where you can take cooked food like noodles, or fried chicken. When you arrive, they greet you with "rules": At the end of your visit, if your table has 3 pieces of food remaining, you will be charged extra 10 kr for each piece of food you have left. This includes the food from buffet as well as raw food. I understand why they have this rule, to avoid food waste as they call and write on each table. However if visiting with a kid, and if your kid doesn't eat up all his food, you have to pay extra kr for each piece he has on his plate + a hefty 120 kr which you have to pay for him to be there. At the end, your kid is still hungry and you are eating her plate so you don't have to pay extra (like ours because she doesn't eat much and can't sit and eat like adults). They give you a menu without pictures. So you need to have an understanding of the food you order. And if you order some food that you don't like the taste, it's just bad luck. While visiting, we saw other people change their frying pan, and as the time went, our frying pan got subsidude from the food and we wanted to change the plate. We asked them and they greeted us again with a new rule: "you can only change this once!" For the hefty price you pay there, 240 for adults and 120 for kids, there are too many rules to follow. You are there to enjoy the restaurant and food, not to be careful not to break the rules. And when you think about it, you wonder why there are so many rules even though it doesn't have any meaning like why you can't change the frying pan as many times as you want. And finaly, for that price, they don't turn the fans on. When we arrived home we couldn't wait as our clothes smelled fried food. We changed our clothes and went directly to take a bath.
Last word: to experience something new, where you fry your own meal at the table, it's worth the try if you are tired of frying in your own kitchen. However you can find other restaurants in Copenhagen where you have the same possibility with cheaper prices and no rules, so you focus and...
Read moreThe reason I choose this restaurant is because 1) it's very close to my place, and 2) the 4 star TripAdvisor review. I booked a table here for a birthday dinner with my husband. The table was reserved for 7:30, however I called them at 7:20 to change the reservation to 8:00 due to the train delayed.
When I arrived, I saw 4 empty table in the middle of the restaurant, yet the waitress went to the corner table (towards the kitchen), picked up the employees jacket, bag, and their belonging, then asked me and my husband to sit there. I said no and asked why can't I sit elsewhere, simply because the smoke from the kitchen is too strong. The waitress said it is because they already have group reservation for 8 and 6 people at 8:00 for the empty table. Bear in mind that by the time we had this argument, it was already 8:15 and the table still unoccupied. At this point, I already felt like they just wanted to "get rid" of me and my husband by asking us to sit in the corner and be...
Read moreLove the sushi and salad/ warm food variety.
The bbq selection is ok and the beef, lamb and squid are very good.
All sushi rolls have good standards, not those that you see left for long on the buffet trays for you to pick. They are made on the spot, also extremely tasty.
Dessert area is only ice cream selection but I'm not a sweet tooth so it didn't matter.
Service is promot and excellent despite being dinner crowd.
Venue spacious enough. Bathrooms are big and clean.
One con is, they have the exhaust pipes in the centre for the bbq but seems like they were all not in use, so as expected, after the meal you will be have the bbq stench. Definitely not to go party after and need to put them in the laundry as soon as you get home.
But overall the food is good and we will...
