Restaurant Carlos — Restaurant in Fredericia Municipality

The people was so nice and the service was amazing! We asked for tapas, thinking that we will get a normal tapas from Spain (let’s remember it’s a Spanish restaurant) and we got warm food! Not at all how it should be. I was expecting jamón serrano, different types of cheeses and olives! I was very very very disappointed. And it was expensive! Like 300kr per person for not tapas at all! I felt so sad and a bit scammed! We also asked for the wines, 4 wine glasses to taste each. It was very bad, not good wines at all. And also expensive! I took my husband there for his birthday last Friday, thinking that tapas will warm our heart remembering when we used to live in Argentina, where I come from, and it was such a disappointment. The atmosphere is not so Spanish neither. There is not Spanish music or Spanish smells. My family comes from Altamira in Spain and they moved to Argentina a while ago, so I thought I would experience a bit of the Spanish culture again, but no. So sad. Everything was very clean and...

Nein, leider nicht! unfortunately I didn't like it. the starter bread was good, usually with a small amount of butter. they offer mayonnaise with a slight hint of garlic, no, no, no. mediocre tapas, low quality the soup was spinach it had a lot of sahne, the paella was terrible, the rice was horrible, it looked like they had gathered leftovers and heated up. it had no flavor had to use the salt and pepper that were on the table. 2 pieces of shrimp, chicken it was cooked in water and salt, seriously really horrible. the waitress unfriendly and the boy uninterested in work. When we arrived, the waitress said that the kitchen was open at 21:30 uhr, and that we couldn't order 3 course, and it was only 20:30 uhr, we still didn't have the menu in hand. seriously! kitchen could not prepare the meal in 1 hour, with the menu that they have almost everything already...

I would like to give this place 5 stars for food and atmosphere. I visited this place for the first time in years. And unfortunately the service had dropped a lot. Staff appeared unfriendly and uninterested and acted like every chore was too much. I hardly ever feel a need to address staff but we as guests felt as we were in the way. It was all about when the kitchen closed and no one suggested it was OK to just sit and enjoy the drinks after dinner. It was one big rush. Typical for a Danish restaurant on a Monday maybe but not something to be proud about . However the chef is class and the food is delicious.
