Hotel Old Harbour — Hotel in Fredericia Municipality

I arrived at the hotel out of reception hours but with the door code they provided to me in the communication prior to my arrival I was able to access my room. ||The decor is quirky and great. Both the room and bathroom were clean. ||Comfortable bed of medium softness. No selection of different pillows in the room. Slept soundly. Black out blind does not work as well as it should so bring an eye mask. ||The was nice hot shower 🚿 and soap 🧼 available. ||Breakfast was a buffet style with selection of breads, cold cuts of meat and cheese, danishes and cereals as well as scrambled eggs and hard boiled ones. ||Receptionist was pleasant and ordered me a taxi. ||Check out was very easy. ||WiFi was available but I didn’t use it. ||Wish I could arrive earlier next time as bar and...

More a hostel than a hotel.||||Limited reception working hours so a lot of self service and no instruction how to access the building for late check in (password required to enter the place, I was waiting long to be able to reach someone on the phone using the hotel’s emergency number). ||||Staff accessed to the room for a quick cleaning while I requested not to enter in my room (+ red banner on the door). ||||Staff very rude, not welcoming and seemed to be annoyed that they had to speak english. ||||Also got a racist remark from an old woman working there in the kitchen concerning my nationality. Do not arrive after 7pm! There is no reception staff. You have to ring a phone number posted on the door, then find a secret entrance, then use a security code, then find your own key. Quite a horrible experience when arriving late at night. The bedrooms don't have curtains - just thin blinds. So at 5AM my room was full of bring light making sleep impossible. The bed was too short for me! I'm not excessively tall - and this is the first hotel I've been to where my feet were hanging off the bed. There were no plug sockets near the bed, and there was a hot water pipe running right next to my head. I would have asked for a better room - but there were NO STAFF ON SITE...
