This was a real surprise Visit trying to find a reasonable Restaurant or Imbiss in the Area after the Main Season. Everyone said why do you folow that sign it says only Cafe and it was early Evening. Luckily its also an Restaurant and a good one at that. No Clue why the Road Signs only say Cafe, cause without sign or knowing its there or being guest on the Camping Area, you would never pass by here.
From the Outside it doesnt look like much and also the Card looks like US influenced Diner that is not uncommon in scandinavian Countrys, especially Norway, Sweden and Iceland. The Inside looks a bit more fancy but still has some Diner flair.
The Food is where it rly shines. It claims to use regional and organic food wherever it can and you will see and taste it. Prices are partially a bit higher but still lower than Hotels in the Area that serve less quality food. I had the best French Fries in Ages with my Fish and Chips and also the Cheese Plate was rly well made and had alot to discover. The Service helps you nicely with the beaverages. The Beer and Ales were also good, but Denmark has developed itself to my number 1 Spot when it comes to Ales i like so not much surprise here :)
The Camping Place also makes a good impression and is on the smaller size with a huge Puplic Meeting Building and a...
Read moreRude, hostile, discourteous and totally illogical! We stopped by here on a bike ride to have a drink on the terrace at 6pm, we actually held our wedding dinner here 10 years ago. The terrace was empty, we took a seat and when we asked for a beer we were told in a very rude way that we could not sit at the table as there was a dinner reservation at 7.30pm. When we explained we only wanted a quick drink we were basically told we were not welcome, by two members of staff. The approach was the opposite of service oriented. There was no ‘really sorry but you’re welcome to sit somewhere else’ for example. No smile, just very unhappy grumpy staff. What sort of business model is this to have an empty terrace for...
