Vesterhavscaféen ved Nørre Vorupør Landingsplads — Restaurant in Thisted Municipality

I want to present this single star to the waiter Per, who made me such an unexpected surprise on 07/09/2020 on my 55th birthday. It's a pity that the cafe employs staff who don't care about the image of the cafe. We have been living nine kilometers from this cafe for a long time and are its frequent visitors. Two days before my birthday, my husband and I made a reservation for two. As usual, we asked for a table by the window overlooking the sea. The order was accepted, as always, without any conditions. When we arrived at the appointed time, it turned out that our table with a flag in honor of the birthday was in the farthest corner of the cafe by the window overlooking the barn. We were very upset, but Per insisted that in this cafe it was never possible to reserve a specific table, so he cannot fulfill it. The cafe was almost empty, but he was persistent and we decided to leave. We hope it wasn't ethnic discrimination, but now we have no desire to look at the sea...

Selfserve Restaurant with a great view. Alltough the meals a very large and not expensive, the really lack of individual Taste. You get pretty big portions of Salad, shrimps, Fries and stuff but its not really seasoned. So ya, if you are hungry go there! Its good food for good price. But if you want really good taste, nah this is not the place to be. Great view of the beach and the ocean of Cold Hawaii.

Volle Punktzahl für die Lage am Hafen mit Blick aufs Meer. Auch die Auswahl an Biersorten sucht seines Gleichen. Die Einrichtung ist eher spartanisch wie in einer Werkskantine. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und enthält für eine Gaststätte am Meer deutlich mehr Fleisch - als Fischgerichte. Wir entschieden uns jeweils für Fish and Chips und ein alkoholfreies Bier. Die Speisen wurden nicht serviert, sondern man bekommt einen Vibrationsalarmchip, der brummt wenn man das Essen abholen kann. Es gab viele Pommes und mit 5 Kibbelingen ziemlich wenig "Fish", dafür dann aber auch noch ausgesprochen wenig Remoulade. Immerhin alles nett in "Zeitungspapier" angerichtet. Optisch also ganz reizvoll und geschmacklich, abgesehen von den Mengenverhältnissen die man auf dem Tisch hatte, nicht zu beanstanden. Das vermeintlich"alkoholfreie" Carlsberg-Bier aus "Brooklyn" erwies sich als sehr leckeres Craft Beer, allerdings dann doch mit 0,4 Prozent Alkoholanteil. Insgesamt war der Restaurantbesuch hier ganz ok, aber kein kulinarisches Highlight und mit umgerechnet 44.-€ an der Grenze zu...
