Wonderful impromptu meal where we were treated to delicious steak dinner and gracious dining!

My husband and I stopped in for a simple dinner on a Wednesday while visiting his family in Vejle. We had no reservation and, though the restaurant was busy, we were greeted by the owner. We were given a lovely table and a tale of history, with humor, from his travels all over the world. It was the best of Denmark - effortless, understated elegance at its hygge best.

Being from Texas, I know steak. Our meal was absolutely wonderful. We had the pepper steak, and it was cooked table side with a delicious whiskey sauce. Everything was fresh, and the garlic butter was DIVINE. Since they actually sell it for take-away, I am clearly not the only one who thinks so.

Very nice, small restaurant with great atmosphere, excellent food and service. We had a great conversation with person who served us, I am sorry but I forgot the name.
