OREGANO — Restaurant in Higüey

A quick lunch stop with my dining partner turned into a disappointment at Oregano, one of the restaurants at the all-inclusive Excellence Punta Cana.. We opted for the grilled turkey and mozzarella sandwich, only to be met with a subpar surprise: what was served appeared to be a chicken Alfredo mashup, not the promised turkey and mozzarella. The portion was paltry and the flavor, nonexistent. Even the french fries failed to impress, arriving cold and unappetizing. The meal left a bad taste in my mouth.

Spectacular service. The waiters and staff were incredibly attentive and kind, all making funny jokes and clearly having fun. The food was the BEST I've had and it came out fast and hot. I went here over 4 timed during my stay simply because it was just that good. The pizzas were remarkable, but the BEST dish they had in my eyes was the Minestrone! Great flavor compared to what I'm used to, it was honestly the best restaurant...

We enjoyed Excellence Punta Cana’s Italian restaurant quite a bit. The service was great, their staff is wonderful.
