I have to be honest this is one of those places that nickel and dime you for everything. Now I understand why every time I drive by the establishment it looks empty. I like to say that I have tried both breakfast and lunch and both rate below the rating of the atmosphere. The atmosphere is very well designed and perfect location. Unfortunate the food lacks flavor and descent portions. There is an up charge for everything, even to sit in the restaurant to eat they upcharge you. To pay with a credit card they upcharge you. If you change anything on the special of the day they upcharge you. It is very sad!
I left the number to the manager to explain the basic of restaurant since I am from the country and don't like to see my people fail so easy. I have just finish working out and looked sweaty and maybe it was the reason I was treated that way. Dominicans are very sensitive about looks but lack the attention to pick up the trash from the front door. in conclusion if you are in a Sunday looking for average food, very nice atmosphere and some upscale dishes like chicken cordon blue or Pastel de platano maduro, this is your place. The breakfast is like a fast food breakfast, very nice presentation but didn't taste authentic, it taste process to me. Almost like that food you get in big hotels in the buffet but not all you can eat, They have the American basics and also mangu with los cuatro golpes. not authentic either. Cafe con leche with some weird milk too. I mean it is quite interesting to try, can't say I will...
Read moreWe went as a large group and were disappointed with the long wait for our food. We waited over an hour, and the food came scattered. By the time the last meal arrived, almost everyone was done. The waiter was attentive and did his best to accommodate our request. The one meal that was delicious was the sopa de mariscos. We also ordered masa de cerdo with vegetables and were disappointed that what they called veggies was onions, peppers, and tomatoes. The cerdo/pork was tough and difficult to chew. We ordered a Cuban sandwich that lacked pork. The lights went out 2x, but the backup generator quickly kicked in. The decor screams island vibes. They have a playground for kids, and unlike many restaurants in sosua, they have an indoor...
