I enjoy the staff. There are always familiar faces and smiles. Most staff speak Spanish and English, so ordering is simple. Shout out to my favorites, Wendy & Victor. They got to know my taste and my regular orders, always keeping me in line when I get adventurous and try something new. Lately, I’ve been exploring the menu and have not been disappointed.
The atmosphere is restaurant loud, with loud music inside & out (not the place to work), but the coffee is excellent. It's no louder than Starbucks playing its music. Good news: this place has excellent coffee.
The food is hit or miss. I have a few go-to dishes: Tio Dominican (local dish heavy yet satisfying) mangu, eggs, sliced ham or salami with pickled onions Jamón y queso de sándwich y pan croissant (ham & cheese on a croissant) freshly baked croissant with melted cheese and light honey Dijon Aunt Rosa Bowl (a lot on the soupy side, yet I get this often, always wishing it had a thicker base. Fresh-cut fruit, usually apples, strawberries, and sometimes cut grapes? With granola on half the bowl Dinner - Tio Stake, I think. Sorry, I'm not looking at a menu, but it's stake-sliced on a bed of perfectly cooked sliced potatoes with a special sauce and capers with sauteed onions. It's good. I typically order Med-well, which comes with medium. Medium will come raw-well, and well will be Dominican well almost burnt.
Drinks the chinola jugo (passion fruit juice) is awesone, and so is the lime and raspberry.
Hot coffee is always going to be expresso-size. All the options are excellent choices for hot coffee. When I want a regular cup of coffee I get express with steamed milk on the side.
Cold coffee concoctions are extra sweet if you enjoy Starbucks you’ll 100% love these mixes. Most are Vietnamese-style with sweetened condensed milk.
Did I mention the staff? I love.
Prices are reasonable & portions are plentiful. I visit a few...

Read moreone of the best restaurants i’ve ever been to in my life, big foodie too. if you’re visiting go HERE!! WORTH THE DRIVE OUT OF THE PORT!! incredible reasonable prices and not a tourist trap. We got the pollo croquetas, Chivo tio pan, salmon al torres, and arroz con maduritos. everything was S-tier. you HAVE to try the arroz con madurtios, this was absolutely the best rice i have ever eaten in my entire life (i’m asian). Incredible flavor, i offered to pay extra for them to teach me how to make it. best pina colada i’ve ever had in my life. Mojitos are phenomal as well. My boyfriend got the salmon and he was in love, i was too involved with my goat (chivo) to pay attention to his food. We’re from miami and have croquetas all the time, our waiter recommended pollo croquetas — absolutely try them, some of the best croquetas we’ve ever had especially for them being chicken too.
shocked, amazed, stunned by how incredible this restaurant was. did not expect Michelin level...
