It is basic, but has everything you need if looking for a budget place to stay. In Pto Plata itself it is a great base to have easy access into Pto Plata without needing to drive or taxi anywhere. Has a nice little restaurant and bar, the food was good enough and service with a smile. I noticed quite a few Dominican people eating in the restaurant during the day and early evening so is a good sign that the prices are good, and they were. Right on the main through road of Pto Plata it isn't quiet with all the traffic, but once in your room it is quiet. First time I'd had a sit down bath for ages, Cable TV, the beds are big and not 2 pushed together, A/C and nice and clean. Staff are very friendly and willing to assist in any way. They have internet access also.||I paid $1.100pesos for a room with 2 double beds and A/C, I think they have rooms without A/C that you will get cheaper. No frills although is very comfortable. If you are uses to all singing all dancing spangled hotels then give this a miss, but if you want to lay your head in a cheap clean comfortable bed for a night of few then you can feel confident this will do you. Around 1000pesos per night, as always everything is to bargain for. Very polite (more so than the big resorts staff) native staff, nothing is a problem for them. Restaurant does a few strange dishes, my fist chicken chow mein in a long long time, and actually pretty good, and massive quantities. The restaurant "Latin Wok" food is great. Customer service and customer experience is not so great. I have never felt so humiliated in the front door of a restaurant ever. The person at the door said Reservation was not created and although I had a screen capture with the reservation confirmation, the person said I couldn't enter cause I didn't have the reservation. At the end after trying to mediate things they put me in the worst place to enjoy food (a bar).
