I have been living in Santo Domingo for 4 months, coming from the US where I have been saying that customer service is so much better than here, I have to say that yesterday I came for breakfast here and I am so astonished of the incredible customer service that I receive. Staring from the person at the door that welcome us with a huge smile, sat us down, then we got another wait staff come to take our drink order, then came back for our order. When we received our order which was the Camionero breakfast it was very good, the mangu was very soft and great flavor, everything was super delicious expect the cheese that had a bit of an after taste. When I finished I let the waitress know to tell the chef that the cheese was a bit bitter, she apologized and asked if we wanted another one to replace it, I declined and thanked her. Not 2-3 min the manager by the name of Wendy came by and asked how was everything, when we said it was great she asked “what about the food?” I told her the same i said to the waitress and she offered to replace it as well I declined so she said can I get you a coffee, a capuchino or something, i accepted a capuchino. Let me tell you just the fact that she did that made all the difference in the world.
She knows what customer service is really all about. She knows that coffee doesn’t cost her much but a happy customer makes all the difference - i don’t live by the restaurant but i will be coming back to this location even though i have another one close to me just because of Wendy and her staff. THANK YOU FOR MAKING A GREAT EXPERIENCE AN...
Read moreWe've never ordered from the menu but decided to give it a try for breakfast the other day. The service was excellent, the place was clean and neat, and the food tasted very good however it was just warm and not as hot as it should be, especially for an egg dish. I ordered the eggs Benedict and ot was yummy. I was so disappointed however to find out that they don't sell the bread that they used in the dish separately. I would have loved to take a few of those extra breads home. My daughter ordered the Nutella pancakes and my husband ordered the waffle and both dishes were ridiculously small for the price. For that portion size the price should have been half. I had to order an extra meal for both of them.
Aside from that,.we enjoyed our meal. I will go back and try a different dish but definitely would not spend the money on the pancakes or the waffles again. I hope that the restaurant also might consider selling the bread that they use in the eggs benedict. I know a lot of people would probably enjoy taking that home for a sandwich or as a side when having pasta or some other dish with sauce.
(This is the Bella Vista location. We chose not to visit the Arroyo Hondo location because they lack sufficient parking and the place is...
Read moreMy friend had recommended me the restaurant for a nice brunch however, the overall experience was not great. Upon entering, I was greeted however lost as to if I had to seat myself or be guided to be seated. I waited an hour to get served and this unfortunately happened when I prompted and ask twice to be served. Once I was served coffee, I had to wait again. I was unable to dine in and enjoy the food that I was craving to eat due to waiting an extra 30 minutes.
When I went to request my bill, I shared this information with the waiter and his response was that he thought that I was waiting for someone. I was never greeted by the waiter nor did he introduce himself to me and that he’ll be serving my table. It wouldn’t hurt to ask to confirm his thought that if I was or wasn’t waiting for someone. I ended up telling him , that he should’ve ask instead of assuming. I’m only visiting the country and hate to share a bad review but it’s very much needed as this will hopefully be a lesson to not only the server but also the manager on the floor. Which too, had pass by without having the courtesy to check to see if everything...
