Palaparrillada — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

Well this was an interesting experience. Where do I start. The owner Christobal was the waiter. He doesn’t smile very much and doesn’t give off a friendly vibe. We felt a bit uncomfortable. The food was fine. It wasn’t the worst or best we’ve had. We ordered one Costilla (steak) and Muslo (chicken). We also ordered a side of fries, vegetables, and two Mojitos. The mojitos arrived before the food. I had to return my Mojito and asked for stronger. Instead of him adding a little alcohol, or asking me to purchase an additional shot, he gave me a lot of talking back. Christobal wants to be, not only the boss of his employees but also his customers. I would not mind paying for an extra shot, but I definitely can do without the argument. Also when the food came out, we asked for additional sauce after the initial sauce ran out, and he also had arguments for that as well. He stated that they do not give out too much sauce. We noticed this restaurant is very stingy and do not like to give much sauce for the food or alcohol for the drinks. The initial sauce that was provided was given in a very small container. Overall, I’d say the experience was subpar and expected better based on the previous reviews. Maybe tonight was just an off night. I will not be returning. You can give it a try and see for yourself. Me dijeron que era un buen lugar para comer y con muy buenos precios. Decidí probar suerte y me anime a visitarlo. Sabado por la noche, no muy tarde llego al lugar y me reciben bien, me traen el menu y veo cosas interesantes. Cuando hago mi primera elección la joven que me atiende me dice que no hay de lo que acabo de pedir. No pasa nada(eso le pasa a cualquier negocio). Me decido por otra opción y la chica me responde que tampoco hay. Osea como un establecimiento to de comida un sábado por la noche ya no tiene mercancía. Bueh pido otra cosa para la cual ya me esperaba la misma respuesta, pero esta ves había y pude elegir. Luego de pedir la comida pido una bebida y asombrese, de la que pedí solo había dos y ya las habían pedido. Con esto no quiero hacer daño pero querido establecimiento "pa la parrillada" es de muy mal gusto para un cliente que en un sitio el cual esta supuesto a tener todo lo que dice en su menú le diga QUE NO HAY.
