I’ve heard a lot about Ibn Alsham and honestly thought it might be overrated. But after trying it today, I can confidently say this restaurant is a must-visit if you’re in Al Rehab. Missing it would mean missing something truly special.
The food exceeded all my expectations—I really enjoyed every bite! I tried almost all the meat dishes on the menu, and each one was excellent. The atmosphere is elegant, the restaurant is huge, and the location is great. The décor adds to a very pleasant dining experience.
The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and experience you get—it’s hard to believe such amazing food can be this affordable.
The only downside was the service. It was slow, and even when we called the supervisor, we didn’t get a response, likely due to how busy the restaurant was.
Overall, despite the service, I highly recommend visiting Ibn Alsham at least once during your trip to Cairo. The food, atmosphere, and value are...
Read moreI love ibn el sham generally speaking and imo it's the best quality shawerma in Egypt. The filling, sizes, price and portions are always satisfactory for me. We went there during ramadan and even though it was insanely crowded the food was still top notch and that tells you how much effort they put into their food and how good of a quality is the materials. The service staff tho was lacking, some were eavesdropping on us, some were just plainly not listening to what we wanted and some literally felt like they are just repeating words mindlessly. I always order from there anyway so I have no complaint on the food whatsoever but the service staff need to change. We ordered arabic shawerma meal and the zinger one and both were absolutely delicious. I tried the burger also from a friend and surprisingly it was really nice the meat was really good and the buns were so soft. Highly...
Read moreA Terrible Dining Experience!
To be fair, I want to share the full story. During the daytime in Ramadan, after confirming that the restaurant was open and offering dine-in services, I selected my meal. However, no one came to take my order. I called for service five times, and each time I was told to "wait one minute." Little did I know, this wasn’t a normal minute but an "Egyptian minute."
When I finally couldn’t take it anymore and went to the counter to ask if they were indeed accepting dine-in orders and if anyone would serve me, the answer was yes. There was no apology for the lack of service, and the attitude was as if I was complaining for no reason.
Regardless of how the food might have been, such a poor experience makes me never want to return. Proceed with caution, and good luck to...
