Rosetta — Restaurant in New Karnak

A lovely restaurant within the Hilton Resort, Luxor. The choice of foods and the service is wonderful. They have an evening buffet and the usual daily breakfast as well. The breakfast is a grand spread of assorted items ranging from breads, cereals, Arabic items and made to order eggs, waffles and crepes. The choice of sweet items is also interesting. The chef offered us dates stuffed with walnuts and drizzled with white chocolate…. So yum. The Executive Chef paid a visit to our table, Mr. Moukhtar, when he heard about our interest in the Egyptian bread being prepared and baked fresh on the terrace. He was most gracious. Thank you. We went to the buffet one evening during our stay at the Hilton. Good selection of food, including a freshly made pasta station. Wasn't so busy, as expensive compared to everywhere else in Luxor, at $30 per person plus drinks. Staff could be more attentive at the right times for a restaurant, they need to read the room better, didn't offer us more drinks, when we'd drunk the first, or offer our bill when we'd clearly finished.
