Pollos Real • Santa Elena — Restaurant in Antiguo Cuscatlán

Went today for breakfast after an appointment at the US embassy. We ordered 4 breakfast plates: Two Texas breakfast plates, one burrito plate and one American breakfast plate. The burrito was good, the Texas were good except for the plátanos fritos, they were cold and chewy, I'm sure they had been sitting there for over an hour because there's just NO WAY a freshly made plátano frito has that texture. Then the French toast from the American plate was too crunchy, and the hash brown was still frozen from the inside and barely warm and cooked on the outside. I told a waiter about the hash brown and he said that all he could do was to reheat, so I agreed and It came back perfectly fine. We didn't tell him about the plátanos because if he was going to only reheat them as well, they would end up worse. The service was fast and the staff was nice. Food is good but you know how big restaurants have a different taste . Well that’s how I feel like . Almost gave it 4 stars but no complains just food was ok not out of the ordinary . Only thing it stood out was the slide of chocolate cake I got it was bigger than my breakfast plate . Excellent service, great food, affordable prices. You can also count with wheelchair ramps and entrance, safe parking lot, good air conditioning, clean and neat location.
