South Seas Restaurant — Restaurant in Viti Levu

Why you come here isn't really for the food (although it is delicious Indian food!) It's for the insane view and the beyond hospitable customer service. Hafiz has been running the restaurant at the back of this club for 21 years and he's so passionate about what he does and ensuring the experience is top notch. We stumbled upon this spot while searching for a place to eat before the rugby game in town and enjoyed some curry, roti, and beer with a nice breeze before the game - the owners also let us park our rental car here for the duration of the game !! We came back after the game to cool off and enjoy another beer and they remembered us and Hafiz sat down to chat with us about his experience growing up on the island and his passion for his restaurant as well as the local community.

Don't be deterred by the 'members only' sign above the door, you are more than welcome here,...

Despite the dilapidated water slide & pools, the food is just as described if not better. Masala fried fish was fresh & seasoned to perfection, just enough of a tasty kick. Fresh curries & beautifully soft fluffy rotis.

We visited at lunchtime on a Monday so not fair to comment on atmosphere, but had potential to be great as an evening venue with local music going.

Great pricing for locals and tourists alike...100%...

I gotta say, if you're looking for "The Best" curry dish? This is the place to be! Oh be sure to try out their "Chicken in Soy Sauce" goes mighty fine with roti and even better for chaser with nice cold Fiji Gold from the South Seas Club Bar.
