BBQ Chicken Lautoka — Restaurant in Western

Worst experience ever. We ordered food, half way through eating we found a fried cockroach in the chips. We showed the staff the cockroach therefore She seeked to her supervisor who was in charge and she was the cook at the restaurant. Staff informed her that the customer has found a cockroach in their food, the cook said she had worked for 4 months , and her manager is on vacation and will be arriving next week. Her name is Jessica. Her husband is the owner they run this business in partnership . When I asked the cook could you inform the owner (the husband of Jessica) she informed me " we will take the picture of the cockroach and send to her ". She also said there was another customer who complained about the cockroach We also asked "did you have a food and hygiene inspector to do inspect the food and hygiene of the place " she had no clue what I was talking about. Due to short staff the service slightly slow. Priorities given to tourists. If you fijian you maybe sitting there tourists come in they get served straight away. God forbid they have to wait like us. It's sad that preferences are given in a restaurant though you end up paying same amount if you eat the same dish. Weather you local. native, Indian or tourists. My daughters first trip home and think this only place that shows this preferences thank goodness. Definitely need some customer service training. For a returant that's linked to a bigger company I hope madam you teach your staff not to judge a book by its cover. Dont recommend this place at all. I used to come here ten years ago and the quality of food has gone down. I had a garden salad, where the cucumber taste so bitter I spat them out. My girl had chicken nuggets, that didn't look or taste like nuggets! And the worst is: the toilets! Absolutely appalling. The female left toilet door was broken ten years ago and still is (or again!). When I passed on a complaint to the manager, I was told that many customers already complained about the toilet but nothing has been done. I find that a joke!
