Taste of Thailand Espoontori — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Came in with a baby stroller, which you have to leave unattended downstairs unfortunately, however the restaurant is baby friendly otherwise. Recommending a table reservation beforehand for the minimum amount of confusion, staff do their best and are friendly enough but not much for small talk. The decor reminds a bit of a white trash place at first, but this fear fades away quickly.

Me and my friend ordered a Tom Yum Kathi soup with prawns, a Green Curry with Beef and Pad Thai noodles with crickets. So much flavor in every spoonful! Rich taste and spicy without going overboard, every bit of fiery heat is compensated with creamy or milky ingredients and everything compliments one another perfectly. Meals are sizeable as well. Cannot praise the meals enough, can't wait to go again.

Prices are standard for the region, great value with the meals being as tasty and good as they are. Just lovely all around, very highly...

Editing my review. This place was one of my favorite until a few months, it has been a bit of a let down constant. Our regular orders, the garlic chili prawns had only chilli and there was not much garlic at all, and of the prawns was still raw :( The pad kee mau(drunken noodles) with chicken is my favorite, but it has not been so good recently. The chicken is very rubberish, and today the entire dish was not fresh. There were no fresh veggies like broccoli like it used to be. It is extra disappointing when the food quality goes down especially from a place which used to be your go-to all the time.

I asked the waitress if the chef was changed, and she said No..but maybe he is getting old?!?

Apparently it's down to luck with this place and the food / flavor depends on who happens to be cooking. We tried this place for the first time and unfortunately did not get the good cook. None of the dishes had any flavor. Papaia salad tasted only of sugar, pad thai the worst one I've ever had with not even a hint of tamarind flavor in it but instead it tasted like ketchup?! Will not be playing this roulette again. Two stars for big...
