If you are after a great local lunch experience, dont hesitate and try out this restaurant

Located in the heart of the old city in a pedestrian zone street, the restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor terrace seating....and tables are covered with tablecloth

The menu consists of permanent options and around six daily specials, and all of it reasonably priced

We selected two daily specials.....a seafood risotto and a chicken dish, and some fries added

Service was attentive and friendly, food had excellent taste and caraf regional rose wine the right accompaniment

Will definitely return one...

We fell upon this restaurant before seeing an art exhibit. It looked inviting and then became very busy with locals, so we were sure we were onto a good thing! We perhaps just chose badly because the food was a huge disappointment. The ravioli were just mediocre, and the daily special of deep-fried seafood was less than mediocre. The service was great as was the dessert and coffee. I may return to see if our disappointment was simply a problem of our choices because such a busy restaurant has to have some...

Meilleur Tartar pas seulement d’Aix mais toute la France! Tout est délicieux ici et on a vraiment l’impression de manger chez la famille d’un ami. C’est un restaurant adoré par les Aixois. Le service est très sympathique et leur menu change tous les jours avec des plats et des desserts du jour. Un restaurant avec de la cuisine fait avec amour et des ingrédients qualité. On voit avec les plats que le chef est très expérimenté et attentionné. Seulement ouvert à midi car ils sont tellement bons pas besoin de dîner! Best Tartar not just in Aix but all of France! A true gem in Aix that is always chalk full with locals. The menu changes daily and you always feel like you’re eating at a friends house with their family. Everything is made with great care and expertise you can tell the chef knows what he’s doing. Always reserve because it’s always packed. Probably the best restaurant for locals in Aix, not at all a tourist joint.
