A Bona Stella — Restaurant in Ajaccio

We had veal which was okay. For 23 Eur I would expect more, taste is okay, just salad in balsamic is no not really a salad... Daily menu for 27 Eur was duck, which was also okay, nothing special. Definitely a bit overrated place, I did not write a review the first day as I needed to compare, but after 3 days in Corsica, I can tell, it is definitely overrated and there are way better and tastier places for that price.

EDIT: After visiting more places in Corsica, I realized that value/portion is definitely off in this restaurant. The maximum rating this restaurant should have is 4.2. You do not serve salads with your dishes, you serve salad leafs with balsamic with average value of 10 cents. Please check "salad" description online if you have any issues. The "bling-bling" place has nothing to do with the quality of your food (which is average). Your value/portion ratio is not good enough for 4.9 rating. Wonderfully cooked food from beginning to end, the “gigot” was to die for, the burger simply perfect and the desserts were really extraordinary. Exactly like every other reviewer has written. They were so nice to talk to us in italian and the owner also marinated especially for my husband the lamb without pepper on our question while reserving the table. Great place for lunch! a great selection of classics, some with some Corsican twists. Great wines too! and the best of all..? the DESSERTS. Oh yes. Do not go there without giving them a try! The owner (Lau?) makes them herself and has a true passion for cooking!
