La Timbale — Restaurant in Albertville

Came with a table of 4. Took a drink outside before deciding to eat there. The outside bar area and the waiters are super nice. They even have warmed seats. They don't have a menu for their drinks, though, and you won't be able to calculate your bill in advance. Went inside to eat, got seated in a dark corner, almost difficult to read the menu. The music was loud but was lowered after maybe an hour when more people came in and started to speak loudly to ear each other above the music. The food is good, but a bit expensive with only little innovation. The sauce that came with the tapas was super good. It's a must. The waiters were really nice! (Exept for the one who took our order in a hurry and forgot to ask about the sides, but the restaurant was crowded, so it was understandable.) A nice bar, but a bit loud, dark and crowded for...

Une expérience décevante

Nous avons été extrêmement déçus par notre expérience dans ce restaurant. Le service était absolument inacceptable : trois plats sur huit étaient complètement manquants, et les plats restants sont arrivés à des moments différents. Un véritable chaos.

De plus, les boissons ont été servies très tard, et il a fallu beaucoup de temps pour que tout soit finalement réglé. Le personnel était non seulement désorganisé, mais également très désagréable.

Le fondue était une véritable catastrophe : elle était complètement diluée et, après l’avoir signalé, on nous en a ramené une autre sans aucune amélioration.

C’est vraiment dommage, car nous étions impatients de passer une bonne soirée, mais ce restaurant a gâché l’expérience. À éviter absolument.

A Disappointing Experience

We were extremely disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. The service was absolutely unacceptable: three out of eight dishes were completely missing, and the remaining dishes were served at different times. It was total chaos.

On top of that, the drinks arrived very late, and it took forever for anything to be sorted out. The staff was not only disorganized but also very unfriendly.

The fondue was an absolute disaster: it was completely watered down, and after we complained, it was brought out again with no improvement whatsoever.

It’s such a shame because we were looking forward to a nice evening, but this restaurant completely ruined the experience. Absolutely not recommended.

In the end we got some beer for free - still...

You might see this place as a party place, but if you don’t dine here you miss a real treat. The restaurant is separate to the bar and so you can have the dinner experience. Hugo is an excellent host and his recommendation for dinner didn’t fail to impress. The beef was cooked to perfection & I can assure you wouldn’t eat better elsewhere.
