I rarely write reviews, but Cap Horn was such a shockingly bad experience that I feel obligated to warn others. The service here is extremely rude and unwelcoming, which is surprising for a place in Courchevel. From the moment we arrived, the staff showed zero hospitality—cold, dismissive, and completely uninterested in making customers feel comfortable.
Our table was outside, and as the weather got colder, we noticed other guests moving inside. Naturally, we requested the same, but the staff refused with no explanation. Unlike other good restaurants in Courchevel, Cap Horn doesn’t even provide heaters for outdoor seating. When we politely asked if they could keep us informed about any available tables inside, a staff member rudely told us, “Stop asking everybody!” Instead of being helpful, they acted as if we were bothering them.
To make matters worse, they repeatedly came to take our plates while we were still eating. Eventually, they removed our food without our consent. When we asked for it back, it was handled improperly, making it completely unappetizing. At that point, it was clear that service and hygiene were not a priority here.
Hoping to address the issue, we spoke to the manager, but unfortunately, he was just as dismissive as the staff. Instead of listening or resolving the situation, he ignored our concerns. And when we finally got a table inside, he actually said to us, “Enjoy your table, this is your last time.” I couldn’t believe it—what kind of manager tells customers not to return instead of trying to fix the experience?
This place seems to take pride in bad service, and the way they treat paying guests is shocking. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere that actually values customers. Courchevel has many amazing restaurants—Cap Horn is definitely not...

Getting there: Yes, it is located in the middle of ski slopes of Courchevel at the altitude of 2100 meters. Instead of wearing heavy, inconvinient ski boots, taking ski lifts, you may wear your glamour balanciaga sneakers and take private jet to altiport which is located close to the restaraunt, just 50 meters to it.
Nomophobia: Forget about your smartphone. At the entrance, you will start to feel the beats of electronic music mixed by local dj and feel the atmosphere of worldwide beau monde
Music is so loud there that you don't need to talk to each other, if you do, anyway you won't hear each other. Just dance.
Relax: After the black caviar for starter, you probably will ask hookahman to bring you a very special hookah. So, in a few moments you will probably forget about your daily routine and get relax.
Tips: In France, no one is asking for tips. Except for this one. Common, you had a great time here. Just be generous. They will remember you, and next time, serve you with extra ice to your champagne, which is so rare in those snowing slopes.
P.S. Surprisingly, that was what Michelin standard meant some time ago. But...
Read moreGood location and pleasant views. However, I had an unfortunate experience with one of the waitresses. She accidentally bumped into me and spilled a plate of food on another customer. Instead of apologizing, she blamed me, even though she was the one who ran into me from behind while I was seated and turned my head without seeing her coming.
A few minutes later, she returned, and although I didn’t believe it was my fault, I decided to apologize out of courtesy. Her response was to point her finger at me and insist that it was my fault, also mentioning that the jacket of the other client was very expensive lol.
It would be advisable to improve the service, especially in a fine dining restaurant like yours. No one apologized at any point.
P.S.: According to the skiing rule, the person behind is responsible, as they have a clear view of...
