Stayed here during our snowboarding holiday in Tignes. The apartment entrance is just a few hundred meters away from the Palafour Chairlift. The building has shops, bars, restaurants and supermarket in the same building which was really convenient. It was also just across the way from the Maison de Tignes (Information center) which has the bus stop just behind it. The area is also quite nice with plenty of food options around. It is also close to le lagon, Tignes space and the lakefront itself (with the #Tignes sign). The biggest issue was the heating. It was way too hot most of the time but you aren't able to change the heat settings. The elevators were also a bit tight, except for the big one, so getting in with gear or luggage required a bit of maneuvering to get to the access beeper. Check in and out was located away from the building. We did book linens which weren't given at the first check in so we had to go back to the shop to get them. One of the keys was also not working which required us going back to get it replaced. There was space for 4 but we were quite packed with 3 and all the luggage. The balcony was small but big enough to air out our gear before bringing them in for the night. The balcony did have nice views of the lake, town and mountainside. They also booked gear which was convenient. They did have WiFi but it was for a fee (which we didn't get). What did annoy me was that they advertised cheaper snow passes but when we asked about it it was the same price as buying it online since it was "the busy season". There were a few issues but overall it was a nice place to stay for a week. Price wise it wasn't too bad, compared to other places nearby. We were also there during the school holidays which probably would have made it...
Read moreThe venue is super cute and cozy. I love the sheepskins on the chairs and the ambiance of the restaurant. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I had the magret de canard, which was tender and well balanced with a nice, rich and flavorful meat sauce. I’d prefer my duck skin a bit crispier, but overall, I’d definitely eat it again. However, my pièce de resistance was the baked apple for dessert. I’m a big fan of these, so to find one that’s perfectly baked so it’s tender but firm, and perfectly paired with honey, cinnamon and a really tasty vanilla ice cream was a special treat. I’d go back to eat that tasty morsel...
Read moreWe have recently returned from a family ski holiday and one of the highlights of the trip was dining at Les Planches! The food was amazing (highly recommend the Raclette), the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, amazing views, and it quickly became our go-to spot!
A huge shout out to Sasha, our waiter, who made our experience even more special. He was always so friendly, attentive, and full of energy. It’s not often you find someone who makes dining out feel like such a fun, personal experience. If you’re ever in Tignes, I highly recommend Les Planches – the food, the service, and the overall vibe...
