We were looking forward to dining at this restaurant; however, our experience was disappointing.
Upon ordering a round of drinks, we also requested a small jug of tap water. The waiter mumbled something about a charge, which was not clearly heard by anyone at our table. When we politely asked him to repeat himself, he responded with an exaggerated sigh, rolled his eyes, and appeared visibly frustrated. We have no issue with paying a small fee for tap water if required, but such rudeness when simply being asked to repeat information is both unprofessional and unnecessary.
Three of our meals were served with French fries (two fish & fries, and one steak hash & fries). Unfortunately, all of the french fries were rock-hard, clearly overcooked, and inedible. When we brought this to the waiter’s attention, he acknowledged that the fries were not up to standardand replacements were ordered. Disappointingly, the replacement fries were identical—overcooked, hard, and just as inedible. As we observed our surroundings, we noticed another table nearby also rejecting their fries, raising further concerns about the consistency and quality of the kitchen’s output.
When requesting the bill, we reiterated that the replacement fries across all three meals were equally poor. After sampling them, the waiter agreed. However, to our surprise, no discount or compensation was applied to the bill despite three meals being compromised.
When the manager arrived to discuss the issue, rather than offering an apology, they instead suggested that we had consumed the fries and therefore needed to pay in full. After we politely clarified that this was not the case—something the waiter himself confirmed—the manager stated they would “see what they could do.” Ultimately, the bill was reduced from €181 to €149, a reduction that, in our view, did not reflect the fact that three meals were ruined. Still, no apology or explanation was offered.
We understand that in any business, things can sometimes go wrong. However, it is how these situations are handled that truly matters. This was an opportunity to make things right, yet it was handled poorly from start to finish.
We left completely dissatisfied and still hungry. Poor food quality and poor customer service—unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Thank you for your response.
I was surprised and disappointed to read your claim that all plates were emptied and eaten. This is simply not true. The french fries were left entirely untouched, as they were inedible — a fact that was acknowledged by the waiter at the time and communicated to the manager. To now suggest otherwise feels both dismissive and disingenuous.
It is also disappointing to receive no apology or meaningful acknowledgment of our experience. I had hoped for a more honest and customer-focused response, rather than one that questions the validity of our feedback.
This experience has left us feeling extremely let down, and we sincerely hope you reconsider how you approach customer concerns...
