Chez Steph — Restaurant in Angoulême

This pathetic excuse of a restaurant was absolutely disgusting. With the money you would waste having a few meals at this truly terrible place you could buy yourself a new car. Bottles of coke here costs 4€ each!!! If you were to charge that price for coke in London you would get slapped!! No offence to the cooking staff but I could make a better pizza with my toes and as soon as I took a bite of it I had to run to the toilet to vomit but unluckily there was a smelly old french woman in the toilet taking a massive dump!! SHE WAS IN THERE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR! Can someone also tell me why there are pictures of lowlife scumbag alcoholics on the wall?????? There were a few servers I thought were very kind. After we had ordered our aperitif 3 times and we were confused by the 4th time we were snapped at by a bald server or manager...I don't know...who told us to "just do it again". There were more children in the resto than adults. Not a complaint, well a little, but more a heads up. Lots of screaming, noisy kitchen, busy staff, kitchen noise...argh. I know they have good reviews, well done, but my food was mediocre. Sorry guys. The half of the staff that were kind, saved it. I won't go there again. My wife and I had a beautiful lunch here, we ate inside as it was a very hot day but as the bulk of diners were outside the service we received was glacial. The menus were dropped on the table in passing by the waiter who was distinctly cool and a subsequent request for dessert menus took over fifteen minutes to appear. An order for coffee was clearly a step too far as it never materialised. As it did not appear on the bill I can only assume the order had not been placed.
