Fair price but disappointing curries. It’s a shame that the sauce based dishes all had very little taste, although you could ask for heat levels as you wanted, this was not consistent, with a medium so hot as be barely able to eat. But by mixing with other’s who’s mediums were very bland was made eatable. But it was the disappointment of all the dishes tasting the same with was the point. There was no taste of any coriander cumin fenugreek garlic etc at all. Just a sauce that was either hot as hell or not hot at all. I’d say my favourite was the starters, onion bhaji and the tandoori chicken were tasty. The naans were very good, the keema naan especially. And the sweet rice was a nice addition as there was no peshwari naan as you’d find in the UK. Delicious curries (have tried poulet tandoori, butter chicken, chicken Tikka masala) with breads (Naan au fromage, stuffed Paratha, tandoori roti) and biryanis.. Desserts are perfectly made as well with the right amount of sweetness! If you prefer spicy, just mention while ordering the level of spice you would like.. And with the warmth and the smile of the the owner while serving the food, one might just order a couple of dishes...
Read moreLived here 16 years and just found this restaurant today. Super friendly and delicious take away. I live 25 mins away by car but food was still hot when we got home. Our chicken tika entree was missing unfortunately and my bad for not asking for British spice levels...we like our piment!!!
Huge portions and home made so can cater for our son who has certain serious food allergies.
