Where do I start. Well, Bob, from the two pretty ladies: I wish I was a food critic so I could give you and the team a Michelin star for both food and service. The whole place felt like a warm hug and a home. The team that cook and serve you, make you feel so special. Each dish came with a wealth of knowledge and explanations on how to eat it, which made it feel both authentic and unique. We had dumplings for starter order 2-2-2, which wasn’t even on the menu. We got to try a bit of everything because we couldn’t choose. Main was bolgogi and chicken in three sauces which was just incredible and then for dessert was Mochi mochi (forgive us if we got the name wrong) a delicious little pocket. Overall, I left this restaurant almost wanting to cry, it was so good and would happily go there again and again for both the people and the food. 5/5 isn’t good enough 10/5 would be better. Outstanding. You have to go here if you are in Annecy or in the...
Read moreWe happened to stumble upon this restaurant by chance and I am so glad we did. The food was very delicious with the flavors being just right - not too spicy but spicy enough to be tasty. We had chicken teriyaki with rice and aubergine with rice. Both were really good with all 3 of us finishing off every crumb on the plate. The complimentary rice crisps and the salad were highly appreciated. The chocolate cake was approved by the picky 15-year old.
Bob and his wife are so warm and gracious that their hospitality makes the experience all the more memorable. Bob cracked us up with his wit and humor and won our hearts with his warmth. It felt like a meal shared with close friends.
We parted with our stomach and hearts full, with a promise to go back next time we are in this region.
Go to this restaurant for the amazing food, for sure. But go to experience the warmth of the...
Read moreOur experience at Chez Long was wonderful! We are an American family of five that visited the Annecy area. We have three boys 13, 8, and 6 years old. Each of the kids loved their dishes (which is rare, so we were happy as parents!), and it was a VERY family-friendly atmosphere.
The owner Bob was very attentive and friendly in helping us to pick our appetizer and meals. And his wife and daughters also came out to say hello at different times.
We love all types of Asian food, and this has now become one of our favorite meals of all time. In fact, we have been traveling around France for almost one month, and we still talk about this as our favorite meal of the whole trip!
Enjoy your meal; you won't regret it. Chez Long was a pleasant and very lucky surprise, after the restaurant we originally wanted to eat at was not open. Don't miss this gem of...
