What a great surprise! So far we used to take our lunch break on our way back from les 3 vallées in talloire, but we decided this time to try the other side. My wife called (with her bad french, but shr has to practice) and they kindly help her and confirmed the booking just 45mn before our arrival, and that our 10 month babygirl was also welcome. they have a good and stabile bistro menu but with local dishes (omble chevalier and some friture de perche), looking at other tables a great pierrade (but we had pierrade and fondue bourguignonne in les 3 vallees) and some really really nice rognions that i couldn t resist! but the best was for sure the enthusiasm and the kindness of the team! such a nice energy and friendliness! i always say that a firm/corporate culture must come from the top and it infuses downward. and this is the case there. I wont complain on the lovely view on the...
Discovered by chance, an excellent bistro restaurant but which could be called a gourmet bistro. I had a meal there worthy of the name. When I arrived, it was almost full and the young lady at the reception adorably found me a table overlooking the beautiful view of the lake. Started with a real piece of foie gras worthy of the name, with fleur de sel, jam and brioche bread. Followed by a perfect fried perch fillet, in extra quantity, with gribiche sauce, and small fries. And no dessert, despite everything being tempting, because I was really full. Having dined in another not very "gastronomic" restaurant two days before, the slice of foie gras was from the bistro, generous in size and good tasting. So I recommend this Bistrot du Lac, for its welcome, its friendliness, the very attentive waiters, and the pleasant, quiet atmosphere without too much noise. A joy of a successful evening. The only regret is that my wife wasn't with me. I thought about making a reservation to be on the safe side. Thank you to the entire team at...
Read moreI had the chance to eat at this beautiful restaurant right next to Lac d’Annecy, and it was an experience I won’t forget. The view is absolutely stunning — the clear blue lake stretches out in front of you, with the snow-covered Alps rising in the background. It’s the kind of place where you just want to sit and take it all in.
The food was fresh and full of local flavors, from lake fish to hearty mountain dishes.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable right away.
If you’re visiting Annecy and want a meal with a view you’ll remember, I highly...
