The views at this restaurant are absolutely breathtaking & the village is one of the most beautful I've seen in Provence (I have visited every year for 12 years). The interior design and layout is extremely well done & cannot be faulted. The waiting staff are excellent - polite, friendly & attentive. (We were a party of 6 people). The first course arrived & it was exquisite. I had scrambled eggs with black truffle (brouillade aux truffe). So delicious I was very upset when I finished them! We sampled every first course dish the restaurant had to offer & they were all a triumph. The issue was the main course. My chicken arrived raw (it was very noticeably translucent). Not a problem - the restaurant was very busy & it was a mistake. But the 2nd chicken arrived & as I ate it my sister-in-law noticed it was still raw near the bone. I ate the diced aubergines but they lacked the same sensational flavours as my first course. Most of my family had the fish with risotto. The fish was veey good but the risotto was mushy & overcooked. For dessert we tried each dessert (chocolat fondant, pavolva & and I had the créme brulée aux truffe noir). The chocolat fondant was good, the pavlova was delicious but the créme brulée was not good. I have sampled créme brulée around the world from London to Paris to the south of France. It tasted very heavily of egg not much cream or vanilla. I wanted to love it but as I made each of my party try it - we all thought it tasted wrong. Either bad cream or the truffles ruined it. So sad. We were very disappointed the restaurant did not deduct the chicked dish as it was inedible.

I think this restaurant is so popular that maybe the restaurant did not have enough staff to cope with demand. I'm sure the chicken just needed more time & there was a huge rush in tge kitchwn. But the créme brulée needs more...

What a disappointment. I booked this place with such excitement, after our Airbnb host suggested that this would be the best place to spend my husband’s birthday. Indeed, the place looks spectacular, the food is absolutely amazing, but I cannot describe how annoyed we were with the “reception” to this place.

I booked this for the sunset (it is famous for the sunset after-all). It was a rainy afternoon, so even though we were not going to see the sunset, we were quite excited for the place itself. The rain was quite strong, we had difficulty in finding parking so even though we arrived in the village on time, we were 18 minutes late to the restaurant (you can only get there on foot). All their email reminders said they will not keep the reservation for more than 20 minutes (which is understandable for a place like this) but, the way the “monsieur” at the reception made sure we are aware we were late, was completely out of line, rude, and sarcastic. Unfortunately for him, we were 18 minutes late (not 20 - lucky me) and I made sure to let him know that we still have a reservation based on what they informed in their emails.

I do think that they should work on the service - during the whole evening we felt rushed and pushed to choose something fast, we ended up so annoyed that we ate fast, took the wine to go and enjoyed the rest of our night in...

For a special occasion the location is fantastic. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming with a smile all through dinner. The cocktail on the roof at sunset is just mind blowing. The food was pleasant and well presented. Unfortunately it did not sweep me off my feet as I was tempted to compare the value for money with other experiences in the region. The staff although serving with a nice enthousiasme should be little more attentive when it comes to spilling the bouillabaisse which ended up as a mess on the table with nobody around to be called for assistance. We were disappointed to notice too late that the risotto was 27€ on the bill instead of 24€ on the menu. In a nutshell pleasant start of the evening with little things to improve to bring it in the race. Check in advance that the meal is served on the roof to get the best value and make the enchanting atmosphere...

Visiting from NYC and this was our 6th time visiting the Luberon valley but our first time having dinner at Un Jardin Sur le Toit. It is lovely place with the nicest view and amazing sunset. I’ll be honest, I had low expectations about the food, normally places with great views have mediocre food but I was very pleasantly surprised. Menu is creative and very nicely presented. Would more than recommend having dinner here. The little town of Saigon is magical and the whole experience is one not to be missed.
