I just had a drink there. Great service , nice place , but I just got insulted there when I was leaving , one of the customers called me a slur word in French which I can’t publish here, for everyone else to hear. He was a part of a group of 5 people, very loud during all the time they were sitting there, dressed in negligent beach attire. Why did I get insulted? I have no idea. Perhaps because i’m gay ? I don’t know. I was minding my own business, I didn’t do anything to those people. (I stopped in my tracks and I confronted this person. There was no way I was going to leave without confronting an incident like this) Restaurants like this one should make an extra effort in how they screen people before they are accepted to sit down. I called the manager from my car, didn’t get any support, understanding or empathy. I will be reporting this incident further. This was completely out of order and it goes without saying that I will never return there again. Customers are entitled to tranquility and to feeling they’re safe when they are on the premises of a private restaurant. Clearly this was not the case on...

I want to share my review of Le Café Ha(a)ïtza. I am a regular customer — they have a wonderful pastry shop in the hotel, and today we decided to go there for lunch. We ordered fish (which was poorly cooked to begin with), and to our shock, we found a moving WORM inside. The most surprising thing, however, was the reaction of the staff. Of course, they offered to replace the dish, but no one suggested covering the cost of the dish cause of this horrifying situation — especially considering the reputation of the establishment. I refused to eat. And in addition he told - it's normal to have it in fish sometimes! NORMAL!!!!!!! Seriously....!
Later, when the waiter came and offered us dessert, we asked, "Will it be free for us?" Only then he told 'yes'. I am in shock about the service and the terrible quality of the food. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Be...
Read moreDelicious food, one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in le Bassin. The menu was affordable and the quality of the dishes was impressive. The only thing I would say is that the waiter was a bit pretentious: our friend asked the waiter why his Chocolate fondant cake wasn't flowing, and he said he was telling this to people 100 times a day, that a fondant isn't meant to be flowing, not to be mistaken with a mi-cuit. I've never heard that before, but he could have told us this without the attitude. That being said, the brioche perdue was out of this world and so we're the oysters, but the omelette norvégienne...
