BLACK PEPPER LOURDES — Restaurant in Argelès-Gazost

Entered behind 20 teenagers, and one chef in the kitchen. Amazed at the efficient service! The chef's young family quickly arrived to help manage the till and clean up. It was so cute and heartwarming to see a family-run business in this tourist town.

Now for the food, which was mind-blowing. The black pepper sauce and caramelized onions was the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. I truly loved that the chef toasted the gigantic buns without my asking. My mother had the foie gras burger (Le Rossini) and said it was the top! High quality ingredients, complex flavours, I cannot recommend enough.

The taco chicken tenders aren't the Mexican kind but worth trying for it's cream sauce that kept the tenders crunchy. But ask for hot sauce!

We were here accidentally since our rental apt just across Black Pepper at Lourdes. Turnout to be the best food experience in Lourdes. They serve with smile and very friendly, food was amazing we ordered the kebab, chicken burger and forestier burger. We ordered it a la carte and to go since we have to catch our train back to Paris at 11. They open at 12 but they willing to prepare the food for us before they open. Even though they gave us all the meal with fries and coke for free. They are wonderfull people here here serve and cook with heart, taste amazing we all are loving it and the portion are quite big. Price also decent. We are recomend for anybody that visit Lourdes should try...

Very poor service. The waitress lied about the "surprise" in the kid menu, offering a pom pot to my two kids instead of a kinder surprise as written on the menu. The waitress pretended to not know "kinder surprise" was specified on the board printed on the wall... I had to make her get out and see for herself. She didn't apologize but left me with some sort of a growl. The feta was absent from the kebbab sandwitch which was supposed to be the main difference with the regular (less pricy) kebbab sandwitch. . Food was okay, nothing exceptional for the price.
