Brasserie Les Ateliers - Restaurant Arles — Restaurant in Arles

We had a scheduled visit for a group at LUMA at 3.15 pm and this restaurant was most conveniently located especially when we were running from place to place for the photography exhibitions up to lunch time therefore we needed a restaurant which would accept a reservation for late lunch. Our group of 9 arrived between at 1.30 and 1.45pm. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and the restaurant manager let us hang around at the bar while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. He also gave us an option to lunch on the terrace or indoor. We chose to be seated indoor due to the heat and the noise from the cars passing in front of the terrace. Our table was ready as the manager anticipated that we preferred indoor dining. Orders were taken quickly. All of us had only a main dish or salad as we were keeping an eye on the time. There were orders for burgers, steak tartar, salads and tuna tataki. I rated my tuna tataki a 3-star because it didn't taste as good as I expected, it was a bit overcooked for tataki and it was oily. The person who took my wine order didn't have much knowledge on the wine but made it up by being honest and polite which I appreciated. A friend who is vegan had a salad which was beautifully laid out on a wooden board. She appreciated the gesture as well as the taste. Encore une fois, il s'agit d'une belle découverte en ce beau pays d'Arles.

La Brasserie Les Ateliers, tout est fait pour s'y sentir bien.

Très bien accueillis, nous avons été tout au long du repas bien servis, bien conseillés.

Seul petit bémol pour chipoter, (mais j'avoue nous n'avons pas demandé), il manquait un petit quelque chose à grignoter avec l'apéritif pour éviter l'effet tête qui tourne avant le repas.

Nous avons choisi de commander sur le menu du jour avec pour choix à l'entrée : une soupe thaï (à tomber par terre) ou une assiette de charcuterie (bien copieuse et de qualité). Tout est bien dosé pour laisser de la place aux plats suivants.

Pour le plat : nage de poissons avec céréales et légumes T-Bone de veau avec céréales et légumes Burger à l'agneau avec potatoes

Le burger avec la sauce au chèvre à part pour les potatoes était excellent. Second bémol, les potatoes n'étaient pas très chaudes et les épices, dans lesquelles elles étaient préparées n'apportaient pas le goût espéré. Mais le burger ne suffisait à lui même 😋

Pour le dessert : Paris-Brest maison Mousse au chocolat au caramel beurre salé

J'ai dû faire une croix sur le Paris-Brest, il n'y en avait pas assez pour toute la table 😭, mais j'ai quand même pu goûter dans l'assiette de mon voisin et je peux affirmer que c'était une merveille sans nom, léger et gourmand. Du coup, j'ai pris la mousse au chocolat qui était aussi très bonne mais je ne suis pas parvenue à aller au bout. J'ai découvert l'association chocolat noir et caramel beurre salé qui m'a surprise mais fascinée !

Il faut compter environ 35€ à 40€ par personne pour un menu complet avec apéro et café. Très raisonnable.

C'est une très belle adresse et n'hésitez pas à vous y arrêter si vous passez par là, vous ne serez pas déçus !

Wendy and I visited this restaurant on the 8th and the 11th of September during out stay in Arles. On both occasions the food and service were excellent. We sat outside in comfortable seating and were provided with a pleasant lemon mosquito repellent. Not the cheapest restaurant but the quality of the food and wine meant it was good value for money. We were well looked after by Mona who was very friendly and provided good recommendations. We would definitely visit again...
