Le Réfectoire — Restaurant in Arles

We had an inexplicably bad experience at this restaurant. After placing our order (two simple portions of grilled tomatoes with rice), we waited and waited while tables with guests who arrived after us were served and ate. When we asked for an explanation, we were told that our order would arrive soon. When it did not arrive after waiting more and seeing the restaurant starting to empty, we inquired again and were told that our order had not reached the kitchen due to a malfunction of the ordering system. (This is bizarre... When the servers' apps don't work, they usually don't work for any of the tables, and the restaurant goes back to pen and paper... I've never seen them lose just one order from one table). Eventually we were served, and the restaurant tried to apologize for losing our order by offering us the water and beer. Of course we will probably not be returning...

Very charming place directly at the entrance of the park. Whether inside or on the terrace everything has been chosen with taste and puts us in a pleasant atmosphere.

For the menu it is far from being to much what announces a rather local and quality kitchen.

One finds enormously of taste in the plates, with for me even a little too well served. I did not manage to finish.

The service have found very pleasant and friendly people. I can only recommend the place or I spent a pleasant...

What a great meal... Don't be fooled when Google tells you this is a grill. It's not, it's a legit restaurant with delightful courses in a casual environment, no frill decoration, etc. Just great food, well spiced and with good vegetarian...
