Arawukas- Restaurant — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

My husband and I, visiting from Malaysia, decided to try out this nearby hotel restaurant, Arawukas, since it had pretty good reviews. When we arrived, we noticed two ladies chatting at the entrance, blocking the doorway. We politely stepped around them and went inside, hoping to get a table for two.

When we stepped inside, the staff greeted us warmly. However, the lady who had been chatting at the entrance then walked in and directed us to go to the cashier counter. She spoke in French to another staff member, who then informed us in English that we’d only have three minutes to order and eat, as they’d be closing soon. We didn’t think much of it and just agreed, leaving the restaurant. Later on, we realized the place actually closed at 11 pm, and it was only 9 pm when we got there. It left us feeling like we were treated differently because we’re Chinese, which was really disappointing.

Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend dining at this restaurant due to what felt like...

J'y ai invité ma femme pour son anniversaire le weekend dernier.

Au premier abord le restaurant n'était pas très bien entretenu (taches sur les sièges, couverts mal lavés).

Arrive le moment de prendre la commande : nous choisissons

En entrée : un trio de tacos + des briskets balls

En plat: un brisket d'exception + un brisket ribs et deux accompagnements : pâtes mac and chese.

Les tacos: pas mal mais rien d'exceptionnel

Les briskets balls : Assez fades mais la sauce était bonne

L'accompagnement pâtes était vraiment fade (fromage industriel sans goût et pâtes farineuses) j'ai mangé une bouchée et laissé le reste.

Concernant les 2 plats : la viande etait tout de même bonne mais assez sèche.

Par contre dans la nuit, grosse douleur intestinale. Pour précision, nous n'avions rien mangé d'autre dans la journée.

Resultat : intoxication alimentaire qui a duré 4 jours..

Outre les prix exorbitants(les accompagnements ne sont même pas compris...) la qualité des plats est plus que moyenne..

Pour moi la qualité ne vaut absolument pas le prix proposé... D'autant plus que nous avons finis malades .....

Il est aberrant de laisser une addition conséquente, pour au final passer le weekend aux toilettes..Et au final un Anniversaire gâché..

De plus la gérante fait mine de faire le nécessaire en répondant à mon message de manière totalement bateau sans même proposer un remboursement ou geste commercial. Ou juste même savoir si on va bien...

Je vous déconseille ce restaurant si vous tenez à votre santé.

Par contre le service en salle est au top les serveurs sont agréables et...

A nice place to try for dinner, we went there twice while we stayed at a hotel nearby. I don't eat meat but I tried their salads and was very pleased. My partner also enjoyed the meat dishes he ordered. They only have non-alcoholic cocktails but they were delicious. Also some unusual deserts that are amazing if you like very sweet deserts. The staff was really friendly and prompt on both occasions we ate there and the atmosphere was great, the decor is modern and trendy but...
