My family and I were there on 27 Dec 2018. We were looking for dinner near our hotel and we found this French / Portuguese restaurant using Google map. The man, whom we presumed was the owner, did not speak English, so we had to communicate with the help of the translation app. He was really friendly and helpful though, and he tried his best to make us comfortable. He recommended some of his popular dishes, and we liked them all. We could tell that the chef put in a lot of TLC into his/her cooking as they all tasted really great, even the simple bread sticks that were offered to us. The french fries that came with one of the mains were seasoned with herbal salt, and tasted really great. Even though we are not French, the casserole dish that the owner recommended seemed like one a French grandmother would make when all her children and grandchildren came home for a visit - very homely and hearty!

Notre passage au hasard "Au Petit Chalet" a été une superbe et succulente découverte! Un accueil d'exception de la part de Magdy, du début à la fin. Un repas savoureux, accompagné d'un excellent vin dans un cadre cosy et serein. Et si on doit parler du dessert: des Pasteis de Nata qui sont une réplique parfaite de ceux de la Tour de Bélem à Lisbonne...chauds, avec de la cannelle, un délice gustatif! Jusqu'au café lusitanien et au digestif sucré....des heures agréables en compagnie de mon ami et de Magdy au service, plein d'humour, de gentillesse et de joie de vivre. Je recommande ce petit restaurant qui donne aux portugais et à d'autres, une véritable sensation d'être là bas ou de faire découvrir, de la plus belle des façons, le Portugal et ses richesses gastronomiques. Es un pequeño restaurante de comida portuguesa en colombes-paris. Está a 5 minutos andando del hotel Marriott y es comida casera preparada en el momento, nada que ver con las pizzerías o fashfoods de la zona. El trato del dueño y del encargado fueron exquisitos, como la comida que sirven. El precio bastante comedido para ser Francia ... En nuestro caso pedimos una botella de vino y dos cazolets de la casa que eran como unas cazuelas de judías con carne, salchicha y demás muy buenas en total 60€ y nos trajeron un pan con ajo de entrante riquísimo que no nos cobraron. También nos invitaron al café de postre. Cómo indicaba el trato excelente. Atentos en todo momento. Incluso el dueño apareció disfrazado para traernos las cazuelas ... Si volvemos a colombes-paris seguro que repetimos.

The food was good. But... we had a bad experience. All was well, very pleasant greeting, good ambiance. We ordered 2 $35 dinner combinations and were charged 4. That was a surprise. We were very specific on those 2 dinners and how much we wanted to spend $80 and we ended spending $155. So RUN RUN RUN AWAY. Specially if you are a foreigner that doesn’t speak the local language. I guess if you don’t care about being taken advantage of, then enjoy the good food. I’m sure they have other great food but that was not cool. I could have made a scene and not paid any more than what we ordered but I wanted to go to my hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening with the family. Anyways, take...

Charming little restaurant with fantastic service and food. Pre fixe menu, but specializes in cassoulet, and it's delicious. Owner was glad to speak broken English to help me, gave a lovely spread of olives, along with special salt, pepper, and olive oil to get me started. Selected a delicious wine, and dessert was amazing, and I'm not a dessert guy.

Wonderful lunch in Colombes in the middle of the work day! Highly recommended to those who love food, people, and...
