I visited the restaurant to have basil pesto pasta. I saw a menu item called ‘penne al pesto’ through google map. I assumed it was referring to basil pesto, so I ordered it without any hesitation. However, when the dish arrived, it was a cream pasta with a little bit of tomato on top. I asked the staff, and they confirmed that this was indeed the pesto pasta, but I still couldn't figure out what kind of pesto was used in this dish. I was still curious and embarrassed, because I came to have basil pesto.🥲 Nevertheless, the staff was very friendly. However, considering the typical meaning of pesto, it would have helped reduce confusion if the menu had explained in more detail what ingredients were used in this dish. We arrived and no one was in this restaurant at 7 PM on a Tuesday night. Usually, that's not a good sign. However, after about 15 minutes there were several more people through the door to have their Italian dinner. I ordered the Paysanne pizza. It was huge! Definitely big enough for 2 people to eat. Since the menu was in French (and I don't speak/read French), I didn't catch that my pizza would have an egg on top when I ordered. Nonetheless, I ate everything around it and it was delicious. We visited as a group of three and ordered a 4-cheese pizza, a green salad, two grilled salmon dishes with rice and fries as sides, and an escalope à la crème. The pizza and escalope were outstanding—easily 10/10. However, the salad was disappointing, primarily due to its yogurt dressing. The rice served with the grilled salmon was risotto-style with a tomato-based sauce, not exactly a stellar combination. While the salmon dish was above average, it wasn’t particularly memorable.
