CAFÉ HÉON — Restaurant in Avranches

Great location and lovely food. Cafe Heron is at the foot of the small castle/keep in the town centre. There is free parking just 1 minute away beside the tourist office. We arrived just before they closed but they took us in anyway. The food was delicious. Our sometimes picky kids were amazed with homemade chicken nuggets, the batter was tasty! Hat keinen Stern verdient! Daß ein Restaurant irgendwann einmal Küchenschluß macht, ist völlig ok. Sofern die Servicekraft darauf hinweist. Das gehört zum Geschäft. Wenn man aber an einem dreckigen Tisch lange Zeit sitzt, ohne von der Bedienung auch nur angeschaut zu werden, ist das übel. An den Tischen rund herum wurde noch bediehnt, bzw abgeräumt und geputzt. Tut mir leid, das sagen zu müssen , aber das war wirklich eine ganz miese Leistung!

Doesn't deserve even one star. It's perfectly ok for a restaurant to close the kitchen at some point. If the service staff points this out. It's part of the business. But if you sit at a dirty table for a long time without even being looked at by the waitress, it's bad. At the tables around was still served, or cleared and cleaned.
