This is an excellent restaurant in the heart of beautiful Granville. There were several tasty little amuses bouches before the main meal arrived: one was smoked herring caviar, another was an oyster with a fruity base, the third was salmon on a little toast and lastly there was a savory soup. The appetizer was beautifully presented scallops with a Jerusalem artichoke custard and pea fronds for added freshness. A very light vinaigrette decorated the scallops. The main was a perfectly done piece of veal with handmade gnocchi. For dessert I had a crĂȘpe suzette with heavy cream inside garnished with citrus fruit and what looked to be an extremely delicate maple leaf cookie for crunch. Just when I thought I couldn't take any more, out came two little mignardises to finish the meal, a macaroon and a fabulous little cream puff with quite a lot of puff! CotĂ© carte de vins cotĂ© il y a des beaux flacons mais sur les vins au verre le choix est vraiment ridicule et aussi jâai eu beau chercher des petites dâor dans mon verre dâeau je nây est rien trouvĂ© ! alors par pitiĂ© arrĂȘtez la Chateldon Ă 9 ⏠câest juste scandaleux pour une bouteille dâeau
CotĂ© nourriture, câest dans la lignĂ©e de lâambiance gĂ©nĂ©rale, rien dâĂ©poustouflant, un encĂ©phalogramme « plat » les assiettes sont bien prĂ©sentĂ©es mais il manque quelque chose pour ĂȘtre transportĂ© loin, câest tout juste bon mais ont attends autre chose dâun gastronomique. Les cuissons des poissons sont maitrisĂ©es mais les saveurs partent vite, comme le babiboulga de st jacques et fenouil , je mâattendais Ă plus de technicitĂ© quâun fenouil vinaigrette et des si petites noix .. LâentrĂ©e Seiche Betterave est quant Ă elle une vraie rĂ©ussite avec de la profondeur et un jeu de texture magnifique sur la betterave. Le lieu jaune nacrĂ© aurait mĂ©ritĂ© une escorte plus bienveillante que ce cresson Ă©mulsionnĂ© et ces radis noirs crus posĂ©s Ă mĂȘme le poisson (pourquoi ?) .
Les fromages locaux ne vous laisseront pas un souvenir impĂ©rissable Ă part le camembert magiquement affinĂ© et dâun Ă©quilibre exceptionnel.
Le dessert est juste « bien » câest classique sans surprise on oublie assez vite .. En synthĂšse on met tout juste lĂ moyenne , mais on ressort avec un certaine dĂ©ception, Ă la lecture de certains avis dithyrambiques on sâattendait Ă nettement plus dâaudace et de saveur dans les plats il manque cette Ă©tincelle , cette magie qui fait la diffĂ©rence entre un bon et un restaurant mĂ©morable , au final Ă 83⏠par personne on se dit que câest un mauvais rapport qualitĂ© prix on quitte la salle sans...

We had no idea what to expect, outside of local traditional dishes. On reviewing the menu, we saw the tasting menu option and decided to go with that and the wine parings. Absolutely stunning experience from start to finish! The food was delightful - every dish was perfectly presented and had the perfect blend of flavours and textures.
The staff were so incredible too. From sensing my poor level of French and speaking English for our benefit, to recommendations for digestifs and some lovely table side banter.
