La Gourmandise — Restaurant in Avranches

We only went to the restaurant. At first we were a bit unsure about the place, but it was one of the few places opened so we decided to eat there. We were definitely happy with our choice: the food was good and the price really fair. Two of us got the crepêrie menu, which includes a galette (with ham, cheese, sausage and salad), a crêpe (with salted caramel) and a small beverage other than the usual "carafe d'eau", which included apple juice, beer or wine. Other food served includes pizza, which was above average for what I ate in France, mussels, sausages and cut of beef. We spent about 80€ for 5 people, one main dish and a dessert each. Nonetheless, the reason why I gave 5 stars in the end is the service: different times I had problems with services around France because the waiter refused or did not speak English, or either they were very rude about it. The food here was fantastic! I went with my family, 3 of us got the méga pancake which we all thought was fantastic, and it was at an amazing price. The service was great, the waiter was very friendly and spoke English. We got 3 American coffees and one cappuccino, they came fast and were very good, the waiter also brought us water with our coffees without us needing to ask. The atmosphere was nice, we sat outside on grass with pink and green chairs and tables, they had umbrellas set up for the sun which were very comfortable. We were staying Beauvoir for a few nights and this place was the only place which was open for dinner. They had a carpark so you could drive down and not have to park on the road. The guy was friendly and led us to a table. The dining area was fairly large and could accommodate quite a few groups. The menu has galettes, crepes and other specialties. I just had the four cheese galette and the frangipani crepe. Both were quite tasty and delicious. The galettes cam with a small side salad. I quite enjoyed the food and the service was quite nice.
