First impressions are good. During the summer season there's a choice of sitting outside or inside. The outside area is marked by two ornamental elephants either side of the seating area. A menu is displayed outside the restaurant lit with an attractive display of lights.
Step inside and a relaxing aura of colourful lighting and comfortable seating greets you. Art and objects adorn the walls. A staircase leads away upstairs. When we visited there was also a large screen in one corner displaying videos of Indian pop music and dancing.
So the scene is set for the food, which is served quickly and looks delicious. We had the poppadoms with chutney, Chicken Tikka starters, Lamb Madras and Butter Chicken mains. The whole meal lived up to the way it looked and was presented. Beautiful spicing and balance...
Read moreI came in tonight for my sons birthday and was very disappointed. We asked for chicken tikka massala and this was not tikka chicken, we were served the tiniest little pieces of very poor quality chicken the dish had an over powering taste of coriander and didn't have the rich coconut curry we expected. We also ordered a lamb madras which had 4 pieces of lamb with a sauce that again had an overwhelming corrinder flavouring, madras is meant to have spicy kick and this was bland with no spice, meat was very poor quality.
The portion sizes were not enough for an adult and was extremely overpriced for the portion sizes and quality of meat, I expect big chunks of quality tikka chicken when I've payed for tikka and not little cuts of poor...
Read moreOrdered food via their website to be delivered. Had to pick it up ourselves after more than an hour because we phoned and asked. It explicitly said on the order "delivery". Unfriendly on the phone, he just hang up. Some food had gotten cold again. They had our contact details so could have called us. Food of no good quality. No rice! Taste was ok. Not worth the money, sorry....
